What are Mindfulness & Yoga?
Mindfulness is, “a state of mind, the act of paying attention on purpose to the present moment with a non-judgemental attitude.” (Jon Kabat-Zinn)
Switching from ‘doing’ mode to ‘being’ mode.
Paying attention to everything we do, in a way that encourages curiosity, to enable us to understand our minds better.
Being aware of your feelings and your emotions and how they affect you.
'Living in the present moment, without judging or ignoring anything or getting carried away by the pressures of everyday life.'
Being appreciative of the good things in life – no matter how small they might seem.
Staying positive even when challenged in life.
We are happiest when we are paying attention to what we are doing, whatever that may be.
Yoga originated in India over 5,000 years ago as a form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Yoga is the union of mind, body and soul to provide perfect harmony and balance.
